Old friend

So here I am, taking a little break from life.. Yeah, apparently I need a break from life.. Have not been feeling well for the pass few days, even got 2 days MC, wow.. And yes, including those sucky meds that I hate.. At least swallowing pills doesn't have any taste to it.. BUT WHY GOT SYRUP?! WHYY??!?! >:( And I hate the freaking taste of the syrup :( Ok, enough about whining..

Nothing warms the heart like an old friend - unknown

I don't mean old friends like friends for very long, I mean old friends that you lost contact with because of external environment.. for 90s kids like me, we don't have the luxury of whatsapp, facebook to keep us connected. Or maybe it's me. My childhood was running around the neighbourhood, shouting and screaming from my friends' block to call them down to our playground.. Call me a kampung girl, call me a wild girl, but apparently rushing to the playground after school was basically my childhood. 

When I got facebook and all these things, it was already awkward for me to add those primary school friends that I never even talk to for years... But then, I believe, some old friends like these still warms the heart of mine.. Memories of them, memories of us when all of us was still a blank page filled with innocence.. There is this one childhood friend of mine, even though we don't keep in contact, but since we stay near each other, we kind of bump into each other occasionally.. & the best thing is, I don't feel awkward with her at all.. like 5 minutes chat below my block.. So aunty but whatever :B

Even if we don't talk for years, this kind of friendship, so near yet so far, it is just so beautiful. 

(Partly because there will never be any misunderstandings in this kind of friendships)

We need old friends to help us grow old and new friends to help us stay young ;)
